This Seminar has the intention to bring people together with a common aim, _ " To work in a different way, to work with the WORK present in us"... "Then something extraordinary can take place"
We have experienced many times over the years the difference between working together in a group and working by ourselves. We just can not find the quality of work we can experience by working in a group.
We must try to become part of a much larger community than just merely our immediate family and friends, we have the responsibility to prepare for a much larger future that what we are doing now.
"... when we come together in a group to undertake some kind of work, we find a force of quite a different order than the force we find when we try to work for our own sake. This can all be understood in terms of the present moment. The force of the individual will may be the greater, but the amount of substance that is available to make the will effectual is too little. When there are a number of people together there may be enough substance for a decision to be taken...." J.G.B.
We have been working together and we have enough experience to know that we can set a common aim for ourselves as a group. We know we must do something for the future and we also know we have the power to do it. It is important that we affect as many people as we possibly can in our lifetime. -The Good must be spread to others.
Every time we meet to work at a seminar we are able to accumulate a certain substance that can provide us with a much deeper understanding of our own immediate Reality, and we begin to have an insight of a role we as individual must play in all this; Mr. B called this the substance of intelligence. We can see that by working together we are able to be more intelligent.
"...When this substance is available, it can produce actions in people which are more sensible than one would expect of them. -This you can observe. -When people know how to use it, it produces the action beyond history that we call the Work. It enables things to be prepared and the relation between fate and destiny to be rightly adjusted for humanity, so that things that have gone off the rails can be brought back and new tendencies introduced into human life. New modes of thought, new kinds of relationships an so on, are all possible if this substance is sufficiently concentrated... "J.G.B.
